Basically, the term ‘Swissness’ is an indication of the geographical origin of the goods and/or services, in our example the reusable cups.
Most products are therefore provided with the Swiss-Made label and can use the term 'Made in Switzerland' on their products.
It is important to comply with certain legal requirements. The most important is that the value share of the manufacturing costs in Switzerland must be at least 60%. In addition, the most important production step must take place in Switzerland, which is for IRISgo ® the assembly of the thermos cups.
Now enough with the theoretical, boring part.
What does Swissness mean for IRISgo ® and why is the Swiss location for IRISgo® so important?
First of all, transparency is a top priority in all areas of our company. All people in the IRISgo ® Community and interested parties should be able to understand and comprehend our vision, our history, but also our operational activities. The opinion of each individual is important to us and we are happy to accept any critical feedback.
For us, 'Made in Switzerland' does not just mean that our IRISgo ® cups are made in Switzerland. For us, it is more of an attitude to life that we want to spread throughout the world. This means that communication channels are as short as possible and we have almost complete control over the quality of our products. This way we can guarantee that our high standards are met and that each of our customers deserve them.
However, since we also place great value on sustainable solutions and have anchored this deeply in our company, this does not necessarily mean that we will rely more on Swissness in the future. Production in Switzerland must make sense both ecologically and economically. If necessary, an alternative must be developed.
