As an environmentally conscious company, sustainability is important to us. That is why we have decided to work with ClimatePartner to make our entire company, including all the products we produce, climate neutral. We offset all greenhouse gas emissions caused by our activities by investing in a climate protection project in Brazil. That is why all the products you order from us are climate neutral. You can find more information about our climate neutrality and the positive effects of the supported project on the climate, environment and society here.
What does climate neutrality mean?
Companies, products and processes can call themselves climate neutral if their CO2 emissions are calculated and offset by supporting internationally recognized climate protection projects. Avoiding and reducing CO2 emissions is an important step for holistic climate protection.
Greenhouse gases are distributed evenly in the atmosphere, meaning their concentration is roughly the same everywhere on Earth. It is therefore irrelevant where emissions are caused or avoided. This makes it possible for us to offset our emissions through climate protection projects elsewhere.
What is a climate protection project?
Proven savings in greenhouse gases and thus making a decisive contribution to combating global warming – these are climate protection projects in brief.
Each ClimatePartner project contributes to several of the UN's 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), such as combating poverty and hunger, promoting education and jobs, disseminating clean and affordable energy, or preserving biodiversity.
How do we make our contribution?
Our forests are the most important CO2 stores on earth. They are home to an enormous diversity of species and are the basis for our lives. In recent decades, there has been a sharp decline as a result of increasing settlement, agricultural use and illegal deforestation. Forest protection projects ensure that our forests are preserved in the long term.
We have therefore decided to work with the local population of Pará to protect their area from negative influences. Our project will protect 90,000 hectares of forest, thus preventing commercial deforestation. In addition, this will create additional sources of income for the local families.
Because the project promotes development in one of the poorest regions in northeastern Brazil, it is certified with the Social Carbon Standard in addition to the Verified Carbon Standard.
Who is ClimatePartner?
ClimatePartner is a climate protection solution provider for companies. ClimatePartner combines individual advice with cloud-based software that is unique on the market. Customers can use it to calculate and reduce CO2 emissions and offset unavoidable emissions. In this way, products and companies become climate-neutral, which is confirmed by the ClimatePartner label.
ClimatePartner offers climate protection projects in various regions around the world and with different technologies and standards. The additional social effects of the projects are particularly important: the 17 United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, the SDGs, are the benchmark here.
