The birthplace of IRISgo® is located in Horw on the grounds of the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts. This is where the idea of the original founders Fabian and Manuel first bore fruit. The development of the reusable cup, including prototyping, took place while they were still studying. More about the history of IRISgo here.
Horw has a lot more to offer and is not just home to the Lucerne School of Engineering and Architecture. Even though it is a relatively small community, Horw is surrounded by pure nature. Lake Lucerne surrounds half of the town, Mount Pilatus is just around the corner and several forests provide important habitat for animals. And if you need action, Lucerne city centre is just a few minutes away.
Today's production of IRISgo ® cups is located in Euthal, a very small village at the upper end of Lake Sihl in the canton of Schwyz. The very rural village comprises several farms, with the pilgrimage church built between 1790 and 1792 being probably the biggest attraction.
